The book ‘Russia at War: Intention and Military Capability after Ukraine’, which was first published in Danish in February 2025, has now been translated into English and is available in a free pdf version.
The book examines why Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022 and asks what threat the Russian military poses to Denmark today. First, the form of government, the elite’s worldview and the accelerating militarism in Russian society are discussed in order to draw a picture of Russia’s political and military intentions. The book is edited by Jørgen Meedom Staun & Niels Bo Poulsen, and the contributors are primarily from the Royal Danish Defence College’s Russia Research Network in collaboration with colleagues from other Danish research institutions.
Jeanette Serritzlev is the author of a chapter about Russia’s war in the information space, not only in Ukraine, but also outside, especially in regards to Western audiences. Reflexive control is used as a framework for understanding Russian thinking of the information domain.
